Do what makes you feel great! We have opportunity that will fit your schedule with as little as one hour per week to donate!
- Housing Owner Research - (1) Hour - Our cleanup team maintains properties that are owned by people inside and outside of Gary in many cases. While we are a charity, everyone must do their part and we are working with the city to identify those individuals for cost reimbursement back into the program. You are provided instructions on how to look up the property owner, a self-addressed GCP stamped envelope from our office, a pre-written letter, and stamps. The only thing to do is identify, print, and mail. We'll take it from there!
- Internet access and a printer is required for you to send notification out, however the research can be done over a cell phone and sent back to us for printing and distribution as well!
- Donor Follow Up - (1) Hour - We are looking for individuals to send thank you emails on behalf of the organization to our individual donors who've contributed to our organization. We will provide you with a template and you will send out the email on behalf of GCP.
- Internet access is required.
- Grant Writers - (1) Hour - As part of a team you will learn how to fill out grants. Whether you've written grants previously or are interested in learning how to write grants, we can meet you where you are in the learning process. Grant writers meet twice monthly and work independently at their convenience.
"I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live."
